Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (available in the UK)

The Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service (Enfield) was founded in 1985 to help wild animals and birds. Since then they have helped thousands of animals and birds by providing a safe home for rescued wildlife who are sick, injured, or orphaned.

By donating to Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service, you can transform the lives of wildlife in the UK by helping to provide life-saving operations, paying for their food, accommodation or finding loving new homes.

Caritas Global Action Fund (available globally)

Beam is a crowdfunding platform built to support homeless people. It helps to support their training and navigating them into stable, paid work.

Physical & Mental Health

Donate directly to the NHS Charities Together Campaign in aid of the NHS Charities COVID-19 Appeal via Virgin Money Giving.

Mind (available in the UK)

Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf. It also works to raise public awareness and understanding of issues relating to mental health.

Civil Rights

Black Lives Matter (available globally)

Black Lives Matter is a coalition of black activists and organisers across the world. BLM has been organising since 2016 for justice in our communities. All donations received are going to support BLM’s work with Black communities across the world, specifically in the US and UK. BLM organises in the Black radical tradition, using political education, direct action and political leadership towards Black liberation.

Black Pride (available in the UK)

UK Black Pride is Europe’s largest celebration for LGBTQ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern descent. It is a grassroots movement that advocates, fights for, supports and celebrates LGBTQ people of colour and your donations go towards their annual (digital or physical) celebrations, community outreach and hardship funds.

Stop Hate (available in the UK)

The organisation started life in 1995 as a service for victims of racial harassment. The project was established in direct response to the murder of Stephen Lawrence.

Stop Hate UK works alongside local strategic partnerships to tackle Hate Crime and discrimination, encourage reporting and support the individuals and communities it affects. They provide a toolkit to help improve local responses to Hate Crime and an alternative for people who do not wish to report Hate Crime to the police or other statutory agencies.

Social Issues

Big Brothers Big Sisters (available in the US, specifically Texas)

BBBS currently serves approximately 1,000 children each year in the Central Texas area, at any given time they have up to 500 children waiting to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister of their own. Please help them provide this valuable one-to-one mentoring support for children in need by Funding a Friendship.

Disasters

Grenfell foundation (available in the UK)

The Grenfell Foundation was set up at the request of some survivors and bereaved families of the Grenfell Tower fire.

They provide independent support to the former residents of Grenfell Tower, their families, dependents, and the local community. The Grenfell Foundation helps to channel that spirit and the funds raised to local projects that will provide assistance to generations affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy for years to come.

Caritas Emergency Response Fund (available globally)

When disaster strikes, the Emergency Response Team works with national Caritas members to get families the help they need fast.

Caritas Croatian Earthquake Fund (available globally)

This emergency appeal will support the response to earthquakes and the COVID-19 pandemic in Croatia
